Jeff started his career in Information Services, working in a variety of roles including Developer, Systems Analyst, Help Desk Manager, IT Manager, Project Manager, and Service Delivery Manager. He has spent the last ten years working in Manufacturing & Operations in roles such as Project Manager, Scrum Master, and currently as a Program Manager. He has worked in industries such as consulting, agriculture, healthcare, food distribution, building materials, and manufacturing.
Facilitation has been used as part of his role for around 20 years. He was first introduced to facilitation in the early 2000’s by an ERP vendor while defining current operating processes, and he has been using it since then in a wide variety of applications.
Jeff expanded his facilitation knowledge and experience in 2015 when he was trained on LUMA Institute’s human-centered design techniques and in 2022 when he joined the AJ&Smart WorkShopper Master program based in Berlin, Germany.
With the advent of PMI’s PMBOK edition 7 and the supplement document Process Groups: A Practical Guide, facilitation is being mentioned more often as an enabler for power skills on the PMI Talent Triangle.
Jeff is active in the LinkedIn community where he talks about helping leaders build high-performance teams, through topics like facilitation, change management, project management, and digital transformation.
Facilitation goes beyond meetings and workshops. It can be used by project managers, department managers and other leaders that facilitate their teams toward shared goals and outcomes.
