TOPIC:  A Case Study: "Hylant Corporate Office - Applying Comprehensive Best Practices to Improve Facility And Energy Management"

PRESENTATION: Using best practices and an experienced partner, Hylant (a local, privately held insurance brokerage) has made major changes and improvements to their downtown Toledo facility.  Built in 1959, the once state of the art, glass building needed comprehensive building maintenance, complex system upgrades, professional construction, facility and energy management to make significant improvements.  Hear how Hylant and Gem Energy (a member of the Rudolph Libbe Group) partnered and applied best practices to evaluate all aspects of the building/facility management, identify, prioritize and address the most critical issues/risks and implement solutions for overall improvement.

Speaker Bio: Glenn Powers is a graduate of Ferris State University.  He has a B.A.S in HVAC/R Engineering Technology.  He is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and a Certified Professional (CMVP) through the Association of Energy Engineers.  He has almost 10 years of experience in Energy Management and in his role as Operations Manager for GEM Energy, Glen is responsible for overseeing the engineering team that performs such functions as energy auditing, application engineering, economic analysis, commissioning and measurement and verification.

Nick Camp has been a Senior Operations Analyst at Hylant since June 2016.  Some of his responsibilities include real estate management and leasing activities for Hylant's 14 offices.  He was formerly employed at Savage & Associates as CFO and has an extensive financial and business administration background.  Nick is a proud graduate of the University of Toledo where he received his Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A), Accounting.  Nick spends his free time competing in triathlons, skiing, golfing and spending time with his family.  He and his wife Terri reside in Perrysburg.  Both of his daughters recently graduated from The Ohio State University.  One daughter lives and works in Nashville and the other lives in Columbus while working and continuing her education.  Go Bucks!

A light dinner will be provided.  The cost to attend is $10 (non-members), $5 (members).  The fee is waived for first time guests!

Please register ahead of time for security purposes and so that we may better plan for food.
