President's Report

Dear Members,

Welcome to the April edition of the PMI Western Lake Erie Chapter newsletter and thank you for staying engaged with our community. This newsletter continues to serve as a space to share updates, resources, and stories that highlight the impact of strong project leadership. As always, we remain committed to PMI’s core values, ethical principles, and brand standards in support of your professional growth.

As we move further into 2026—our 25th anniversary year—we are encouraged by the strong engagement and momentum across the chapter. These achievements reflect the dedication of our members, volunteers, and board, and the shared commitment to advancing the project management profession.

We look forward to seeing many of you at our Spring 2026 Professional Development Day on April 14, 2026. This event is a great opportunity to learn, connect, and grow alongside fellow professionals, and we’re excited to share this experience with you.

As we celebrate 25 years of PMI WLEC, members should anticipate additional announcements—plans are underway to host a memorable anniversary event, and more details will be shared soon.

Thank you for your continued support and involvement. Stay engaged, watch for upcoming opportunities, and let’s continue building a strong and connected chapter together.

PMI WLEC Coffee Hour Highlights

Our PMI WLEC Coffee Hour continues to be a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow members over coffee in our community. We had a great time at Georgette’s Grounds & Gifts, located at 311 Conant Street, Suite 209, Maumee, on Saturday, February 21, 2026, enjoying great conversations in a welcoming atmosphere.

We also spent another enjoyable Coffee Hour at Tiedke’s Coffee, 4444 Keystone Drive, Suite B, Maumee, OH, where we were privileged to take a behind-the-scenes tour of their coffee roasting operation. It was a fantastic experience and a great way to learn while networking with fellow professionals.

Next Coffee Hour:
We are excited to announce that our next Coffee Hour will be held on April 25th, 2026, at Earth at TolHouse, 1447 N Summit Street, Suite D, Toledo, OH, starting at 10:00 a.m. We look forward to seeing you there for another relaxing and engaging networking experience.

Be sure to keep an eye out for updates and future Coffee Hour announcements—you won’t want to miss them!

During the session, board members addressed student questions and shared practical insights on key topics, including PMBOK® Guide application in practice, industry methodologies, stakeholder management, real world challenges, career advice and the future of the project management profession.
